Presentation just ended. I didn't see any mention of 120Hz screen but I don't speak Chinese. If it doesn't have that I'm not interested tbh.

Didn’t know Xiaomi used keynote for their slides.

I’m only interested if it has headphone jack if yes then its pre order for me. 120hz I think currently is just a gimmick and on phone I think I prefer 60fps and long gaming session than 120fps and short gaming session.

I feel like there is no need for “gaming” phones to come with controllers built in since you can plug in your controller of choice with a simple otg cable anyway.

I am note 4 user and I fucking hate miui. My only problem is their endless push of their cloud services. I would have gladly bought another Xiaomi device but nope. They also activates previously disabled bloatwares with every new updates.

Or uh… get a Switch for half that price?

Gaming phones just seem like such a bad idea. A dedicated device is going to be thousands of times better.

More like a mini gaming tablet than a phone. 161mm tall. That is a small tablet. ALso how does liquid cooling work in it?

First phone with a dedicated image processing chip is the Nokia 808, but I guess 2nd doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Pixel Visual Core could count as well I guess.

Tbqh, we need more 120Hz phones in general, not just gaming focused ones. It’s almost a mistake to focus that technology on gaming phones because hardly any games even support 120Hz right now, but Android itself and most apps do.

The hardware is pretty good. I’m interested to see what this “Dark Light” shit is

Surprisingly the spec is pretty good for the price despite the “gaming” tag.

S845, liquid cooling (?), 8GB RAM+128GB storage, 4k mAh, dual-sim, discrete image processor, etc for 560$ USD.

Why on earth just one part of the controller?

It has B4 band, interesting, thats the typical band they add when they launch in India

Probably a “semi” global launch?

I think there’s a promotion where if you’re one of the first 50 thousand people to buy the controller you get it free or something

It bugs the heck out of me that it starts off looking like it’s in a really ugly case. Would be nice if companies could make “gaming” products that didn’t have a billion angles and RGB LEDs.

I also don’t really get why a phone would need liquid cooling, even a “gaming” phone. I guess it’s a nice addition but it really just seems excessive.

It has some really good specs for its price though.

I think a self proclaimed gaming phone should have a headphone jack
