I can understand the idea of having all the utility functions like calendar and such. I’m just wondering how you would do software updates and things like that.

Assuming it has OTG, then you can plug in LAN cable.

So it’s a feature phone. Unless I’m missing something, a smartphone by definition is a mobile phone with internet access.

Absolutely idiotic. Also it’s really interesting how so many in this thread are defending this phone

>The device is also suitable for older people who find too many apps and features on modern day smartphones overwhelming.

An issue created entirely by makers and carriers themselves preloading everything they can get their hands on.

Not that stupid, kids will learn how to use usb wifi dongles and how to install apps with other methods in no time.
Of course other than teaching kids to think about tech a bit, it is entirely useless

There was a post here about students in South Korea buying study phones. Of all the things Samsung decided to copy off this sub lol

>Samsung has released a new budget ‘smartphone’ in South Korea without any form of Internet connectivity onboard. The new **Galaxy J2 Pro from Samsung Korea** is primarily targeted at students who seek to avoid distractions on the Internet. The device is also suitable for older people who find too many apps and features on modern day smartphones overwhelming.

The battery life on this thing is going to be amazing.

It’s one of those times going back to the early 2000s with a feature (or lack of) is actually a good thing.

On a side note, is there a smartphone that has internet but no front and rear camera? I work at a place with sensitive data so we have to use dumb phones.

or you could just buy a used galaxy s3 for like 30 bucks, flash lineage, use it without a sim, and call it a day

4.7″ tablet woo!
