>still a teenager when armed agents raided his house.

Seems more than a little excessive for a piracy issue doesn’t it?

I remember this app. Used it to download LauncherPro. That developer ceased development years ago.

What I remember Applanet it was awesome. It looked like the real playstore but you could download any apps for free. Sheesh can’t believe they sent swat and raided his house for pirating digital content but rapist violent criminals get less punishment.

As usual, the US legal system is fucking stupid. They can’t catch terrorists but they raid the home of a teenager?

scaring the ever living shit out of a kid is a way, way better punishment than sending them to prison with the way the US prison system works out.

That said, armed LE? Against a nerdy ass 15 year old who probably only knows what a gun looks like from video games? Excessive.

I still don’t understand why he won’t be able to ever own a firearm again when his charges were for copyright violations. Seems relevant to the situation, right?

Wow. 1 year in home confinement. How does that solve anything, help anyone or do positive things? This guy became a counsellor for LGBT people, no criminal record and now he gets to be locked up in a home then with 3 years probation for making an app store.

I would not feel an ounce of sympathy if he ends up becoming deranged and harms anyone involved in this case.
