As exciting it may sound, the possibility of him taking Qualcomm private is really dim. The case of Dell was different, Micheal Dell was much richer than him and he put in a massive amount of his personal fortunes to bring the company private. Compared to Micheal Dell, Jacobs is comparatively poor(Still at a cool $1.25 Billion). Even Dell is considering to be a public company once again. If he needs to take Qualcomm private it is near impossible to fund it without foreign investors and the government says no to foreign investors.
